I’m a planner. I have an obsession with stationary, diaries, calendars, everything. Sad, I know. But I love it! And I love having everything organised and planned out. Whether or not plans and goals are followed is a different matter, but its so much fun planning.
I like having goals; short term, long term, financial, business. I like having things to aim and work towards, to keep me motivated. They change, a lot, but I always have notes in my phone with goals and aims for the year, and they’re regularly updated.
I’ll let you in on a few aims and goals I have for this year, and I’d love to know yours, leave a comment or tweet me.
Some of my personal goals:
– Lose at least 4 stone by Christmas day
– To give running a try and follow an exercise routine
– Start practising yoga
– I’m going to work my way through my new hobby/skills list! (more about that here http://mummysmission.com/hobbies/hobbies-on-my-to-try-list/ )
Some of my business goals:
– 50 affiliates signed up
– To have at least 5 ‘influencers’ promoting my brand
– To have another online business running
Some of my financial goals:
– To start a savings fund for A
– To start a savings fund for myself!
– Save up enough to get a puppy!
Most of my personal goals revolve around weight loss and fitness. At the beginning of the year, I started slimming world. With a 3 stone loss in just over 2 months, I got extremely cocky, and gave up! Although I have kept that weight off, I do want to carry on and lose a little bit more. I have a few health problems that make it a little bit harder, but I try not to use them as an excuse!
I’d love to start yoga for flexibility and general toning. With a toddler to chase after, I’ve realised just how unfit I actually am, and I really need to sort it out!
As for the new hobby/skills, I have a list of things I want to and will try, and I want to start working my way through the list! Read some of them here.
Obviously my main business aim is to grow and expand. I want to have a regular recurring customer base, and I want to have a steady weekly flow of orders. To help with this, I plan to open a second online shop, in a completely new genre. There will be more on that in a later blog post!
As unorganized and silly as it is, I don’t have any savings, at all. Being a young mum and moving out at 19, I haven’t really had the time or spare cash to start saving! So one of my most important plans is to start saving. If I can have a regular direct debit into a savings account by the end of the year, I’ll be a very happy lady!
And for the puppy, enough said! We lost our family dog to cancer not long ago, and although she lived with my parents, I feel like there is a massive gap in our home life, that needs to be filled!
What are your goals for the year?
