Prestige Hampers – Luxury Hamper Review

I was way too excited about receiving this hamper to review, and it really didn’t disappoint! I have always loved the idea of hampers – all perfectly packaged to make a beautiful gift. But I have never purchased one as you always have the “Am I just paying for the box or are the contents worth the money?” And this hamper answered that question straight away – it is definitely worth the money! I received the Fabulous Christmas Hamper¬†from their Christmas hampers range. It is on their site at ¬£49.99, and you can have delivery in as little as 2 days! Myself (and my family who helped to taste test!) all thought it was definitely worth this much, if not more. The luxury feel of the products really gives it an expensive feel, while still suiting most tastes.

What’s in the hamper?

Founders Stone Merlot 187ml – Founders Stone White Zinfandel 187ml – Founders Stone Pinot Grigio 187ml – Natural Sea Salt Yorkshire Crisps 100g – Pumpkin Seed and Cranberry Biscuits for Cheese 125g – Matthew Walker Luxury Gold Christmas Pudding 100g – English Afternoon Tea 20 Teabags – Honey Blond Chocolate Bar 50g – Belgian Marc de Champagne Fancy Truffles 200g – Belgian Chocolate Caramel Thins 80g – Mackays Scottish Strawberry Preserve 113g – Mackays Dundee Orange Marmalade 113g.

The good, and the even better!

I’ll own up and say now, I think I single-handedly ate all of the truffles! They were absolutely divine. A lovely rich chocolate taste, they tasted extremely expensive and guilty, but so worth it! The chocolate thins were also deliciously more-ish and didn’t last long at all. They were a nice touch to the hamper and perfect for sharing. I’m not a wine drinker so my partner taste tested all of the wine (no comment!) and he said each one was lovely. Perfect quality and he said they tasted very high-end, not your ‘cheapest I can find supermarket dash!’ wine. The pumpkin seed biscuits were a super yummy blend of stodgy biscuit (in a good way, there is no such thing as bad stodge-ness!) and floury, pumpkin and healthy tasting biscuit. The crisps were also a very nice touch to the hamper as they paired perfectly with everything inside it, and were a good sharing product. The strawberry preserve and marmalade were delicious and had to be taste tested on toast by most of the family! The Christmas pudding is yet to be tried but if the packaging and Google is anything to go by, it’s going to be lovely! The Honey Blond chocolate bar was also lovely, a nice rich white chocolate with honeycomb bites.

Would I recommend this product?

Absolutely, no doubt about it. This hamper, or any others from their Christmas range, would make a beautiful gift and they really are worth the money. The box is so well made and can be re purposed after in any way you see fit. The company is extremely popular and has a large website full of different hampers to choose from. From cheese hampers to pet hampers, there really is something for everyone, and also for every budget!
